Appliances
High Performance Virtual Appliances are ran in a highly available configuration with load spread across two identical servers.. The Advanced & Professional Appliances utilize KVM Virtualization technology, both para-virtualized and hardware virtualized environments are available allowing more flexibility and choice in operating systems. All Hosting Appliances come with the following:
- Shared 100Mbit incoming
- Shared 10MBit Outbound
- Fast Disk IO / RAID-10 (8x1TB SAS RAID-10)

About HostAP Virtualization:
We utilize two high powered 6 core servers in a redundant cluster, each server is packed with 16GB ram and 4x1TB SAS Drives in a Stripe (550MB/s Read & 420MB/s Write). A 20Gbps low latency Infiniband connection connects the two servers directly and we use DRBD to mirror the stripes across both servers for redundancy. KVM Appliances are given Dual Primary LVM block devices for disk storage and can be live-migrated or failover to the opposing server at any time without interruption. OpenVZ storage sits ontop of a Primary-Secondary file system (ext3) and in the event of an unexpected outage can be manually brought up from the opposing server.
Each Server is underloaded load balanced, only 5 Appliances run per hardware device during normal operations.. in the event of an outage the opposing server has enough available resources to temporary take on the load of both servers until service can be fully restored.
Full backups are made weekly without interruption to your services, we take a LVM Snapshot and then copy it to a NFS storage every Sunday.
Outbound network transfer is 10Mbps shared between the 10 appliances per cluster, our router has very aggressive and fair QoS rules to ensure fair and quality service to everyone at all times. Soon we will offer shared 100Mbps between 10 appliances, upgrading will be quick and painless.
We purposely under-sell our services to provide higher performance for our customers, trials are available upon request.
